“What we do for ourselves dies with us.  What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal.”   – Albert Pike

Additional information will be posted here from time to time regarding these and other charities.  Our vision is that visitors and members alike will soon be able to contribute to these and our other charities through this website in the near future....so STAY TUNED.  Until then, feel free to use our contact page to request additional ways to make contributions to these worthy causes.  Below are just a few of our most common charities:

CONGRATULATIONS TO DOUG AKERS ON WINNING OUR CHARITY RAFFLE!
Pataskala Lodge #404 had concluded our first charity rifle raffle fundraiser.  We sincerely thank everyone who took the opportunity to win a quality American rifle as well as for assisting us with our charitable fundraising for Special Olympics, the Ohio Masonic Home, veterans support networks, local police and fire support networks, sponsorship of academic scholarships, holiday adopt-a-family events, community enhancement opportunities, and many other worthy charities.

Thank you for your support!

"Since 1968, Special Olympics has been spreading the message: people with intellectual disabilities can – and will – succeed when given the opportunity. And it all happens through the simple power of sport.....Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Our athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment -- on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential."

Each year, Freemasons in Ohio donate thousands upon thousands of dollars to one of our favorite charities - Special Olympics. In the past six to eight years, our combined yearly donations in Ohio have exceeded $175,000 and have even reached as high as $205,000 in some years.
In order to continue to do our part to contribute to this, our most cherished charity event, the Pataskala Masonic Lodge attempts to raise enough charity monies to sponsor a few athletes on our own. As with everything nowadays, the cost of sponsorship has risen steadily over the years. It's estimated that the cost to sponsor just one athlete is now as much as $175 per year.
So as you can see, we need your continued support and assistance to meet our obligations and raise monies for this most worthy cause. This year's goal is to sponsor at least three, if not four, athletes so we desperately need you to contact the lodge with your donations, seek out Masons at our community functions and tell them you wish to donate, or contact the Lodge through this website or on our Facebook page and find out how to arrange for donations to be made to our Lodge. No donation amount is too small.

"The Ohio Masonic Home Foundation scholarship program was established in 2002 through a generous gift dedicated to provide for a perpetual student scholarship program. Through wise management of this resource the Ohio Masonic Home Foundation has been able to continue offering this opportunity which provides financial aid to students who are themselves freemasons, or the children and grandchildren of Ohio freemasons. The program is primarily based on financial want with special emphasis on applicants who have demonstrated a need because of death or disability of a parent or guardian.

In the past five years, the scholarship program has awarded 99 scholarships, totaling $130,000, which have enabled over 85 students to attend college and help to defray the costs of higher education.

The Ohio Masonic Home Foundation believes in supporting the future generation on their journey to becoming worthy representatives of society and good citizens of our country. Donate now if you would like to join us in this mission."
